| ¤ Ernesto Alaniz :: Youth Minister :: ealaniz@hisfaith.net It is hard not to see God’s hand when I look back on my life. I was born into the “body of Christ” (Corpus Christi, TX) on September 24th, 1980. At 6 I would journey forth to pray the sinners prayer in a tiny Upper Peninsula town. Growing up then in Flint, that tiny childhood prayer, though forgotten, would keep me from participating in the drugs, the gangs, and the girls. Finally arriving in Waterford, I came to Faith Baptist and the Lord finally grabbed me with both hands and made me bow the knee. The Lord’s call on my life has been “acknowledged” since high school. After attending the Moody Bible Institute, I married Angela Kaye Sims. Together, we have begun to serve God by serving Jr. High students. The ministry is hard, but it is good. At this age, the kids are so...vulnerable. If you can convince them to chase God now, they will chase Him until they finally go home. The Lord taught us that it is more blessed to give than to receive (yes, that is in the Bible). I have working with me a group of God fearing parents and volunteers who have chosen to love God by loving Jr. Highers. We have become very close, a community of ministers, and are always looking for others who love God and desire to serve Him. In Christ, Ernesto |
